The KSM Model 358™ Guitar utilizes three unique features in its innovative design. The most noticeable is the pitched-back neck. This rare feature is designed for player comfort when playing those extended gigs. The second feature is the neck-through design of the guitar. The neck extends all the way down to the bridge, this greatly improves sustain and tone. The third feature is the KSM FOUNDATION™ Bridge. The bridge works in tandem with the neck to create a complete guitar system that functions as a “whole unit”. Because the vibrations from the strings are transferred directly to the guitar body through the bridge, the tonal quality and timbre of the KSM Model 358™ Guitar are unsurpassed in richness and clarity.
Thick figured maple body tops ensure each guitar is unique in appearance. Necks are made of hard rock maple, which is one of the densest woods available. Mahogany body backs ensure the classic richness people expect in a quality guitar. Pickups are the Seymour Duncan® SH-5 Humbucker in the bridge position and the SM-3N Custom Mini Humbucker in the neck position. These pickups coupled with the "whole unit" construction of the guitar offer the player a wide variety of tones, like an artist mixing and picking colors from a palette.
Each guitar is built with the KSM FOUNDATION™ Bridge.
All guitars are handbuilt and the supply is very limited. No guitar leaves the shop until every detail is checked and verified.
Price variations are determined mainly by the figured maple used in the body tops. Some wood is extremely rare, such as a one-piece highly figured guilt top.
